The actual light is fine, but needs to be surrounded by windows. Lighthouses are utilized during dark nights (cloudy), and that usually means that it is needed when there's heavy weather. Open sides obviously wouldn't work in that situation.

Terrain is awesome, lighthoue design is funky. If the lighthouse is a modern version I've never seen or something, I can accept that.
