They end up being big due to the simple fact it involves Stocking.
A lot of people want her attention in hopes of getting e-pusillanimous individual, hamwhore or not.

Here are my views on the three current Drama generators: Lord Tony, Iban, and Stocking.

Lord Tony
I consider him the most mild of the three. Though he trolls hard (as in a large portion of the forums want him banned) in Off-Topic, he is quite tame outside Off-Topic and shows true interest in the game.

Iban
He has earned the communities hatred many times over and only makes it worse with each return. However, he has a redeeming quality in the fact that he is a talented scripter and has produced a few nice addons throughout his involvement.

Stocking
She literally exists on these forums to stir up drama for her own amusement and has contributed next to nothing towards the game. More of the community would despise her if she wasn't a female. However, she does generate some pretty good discussion in certain topics.

I agree, if Stocking were banned, there would be far fewer drama topics. However, she has not broken a rule and therefore is in the clear.

If I was ever given the chance to ban one of these three, I would turn down the offer. If Lord Tony would troll less hard, he'd be just your average member, occasionally suggesting ideas and making builds. If Iban would learn to keep to himself and stay out of Off-Topic (which he is making progress, so my complements to him for that), he could probably become the next Bushido or Space Guy. If Stocking would learn to quit provoking certain members (or at least less often), the forums would be a lot more calm and have less Drama. Heck, if she even played the game occasionally, a few people, including myself, would gain a lot more respect for her.

Mecha:
I thought Iban was just a big git who got banned a lot, but...
