you get a warning when you try to post something over 2000 characters, he would have seen the warning and probably mentioned it

Go to options->advanced and check "Disable Vertex Buffer Objects (Slower, but more compatible)"

Also, consider purchasing a video card at least once per decade if you want to play games.
