Make your stronger units faster and have them hang around behind the scenes. Send a group of weaklings to the enemy base but not close enough for the strategic position to be a problem. The enmy will think you are an idiot and send his medium force units to deal with them. at this point, slowly flee, knowing all the way that these units will not survive. When you are a significant distance away from reinforcements, send in your stronger ones to dispatch the pursuers.
