two things
one: people totally do make their own terrain. all the time.
i'm a perfect example of this.
two: terragen looks awful
the ground does not have random blocks just poking out of what would otherwise be flat land and hordes of trees within spitting distance of eachother
it's better to just make the terrain yourself
