To escape the friendzone usually you just want to break contact for a while, and then start talking to her again in the right way.
That's what the friendzone is all about, she doesn't want to forget up your friendship, so you forget it up for her and then come back a couple months later as something she wants with no strings attached. This is assuming she actually did value you as a close friend, the alternative is she just didn't find you attractive/interesting enough.
