Why is the 560 so much worse than the 480? I'm going to have to look that up.

Its the low end of the 500 series while the 480 is the high end of the 400 series.

But really, it ran before, I don't know why it isn't now.  Is there anything that the launcher does that older installments of BL doesn't?

Only reason that I don't play on my laptop because it's breaking down on me.

I've already said. Badspot has upgraded the game to a level that is extremely reasonable. Things are constantly advancing. Your dad's computer is about 10 years out of date. He needs a new one.

Even a cheap Walmart netbook can run Blockland.
