I have no idea why it's jpg. tinypic makes them jpg for some reason, but still says it's a png.
It doesn't seem to change quality anyway so why would it matter?

Nothing really but Fireworks doesn't support jpgs of any kind so importing them is a little more tedious.

also I've made some fancier wallpaper stuff (check OP), keep/discard?
