God Damnit!
* Stop bumping this.
* This Update will happen, there will be NO bypass or anything else. Terrains and Interiors will be GONE! Accept it, do you wanna always live as a neanderthal?
Jorgur:
Even so, there is nothing wrong in complaining about it.

on the other hand you need to understand that they're removing terrains for more things than just shadows, pretty much everything that the terrains/interiors are preventing/making it harder to add

Because, regardless of the buggy aspect, it allows players to do more than any of the updates listed by Kompressor.
Have you ever played in any of the dogfight servers? Maybe Heed's slopes tdm? Nobot's deathrace? Or, hell, ANY of the medieval RPs? Those require a VAST amount of terrain. Keep in mind that these were easily some of the most popular servers in blockland. So, regardless of your statistic, people enjoy terrain. I host in slate just to bullstuff around. That doesn't change the fact that I enjoy terrain maps more. You're labelling an entire community by one look at the server stats. This doesn't immediately imply absolute intention.
It's going to be released, yes. But this isn't going to stop people from acting in opposition.

Because this got bumped, I might as well reply.
Yes, I have played dogfight servers. Heck, that was the gamemode of the majority of servers I hosted. However, saying that they use "a VAST amount of terrain" is misleading. In relation to INFINITE terrain, most servers use less than 1% of that. With a bit of work, you can generate the amount of terrain needed to produce a good dogfight server. And as we get closer to the release of this update, more and more work-arounds have been developed. Look at the terrain brick topic Wedge started. With a little bit of coding, someone could create a terrain generator that would use these pieces and create giant landscapes that would work perfectly for these game modes.
And to your comment about my "one look", it's not entirely based on servers though similar statistics are pretty prevalent just about any time you query. Look at the numerous polls asking the community about the update. All the polls are in favor of the update by at least 40%, if not more. It's an ever-shrinking minority that doesn't want terrains.
Any actions thus far against the update have utterly failed. I don't see why that'd change any time soon.

I dont see why you can't just take your boats and import them into a slate sea map.
All you'd have to do from there is create an island of terrain or two, and you'd have a dogfight.
I really feel like a lot of you are just to lazy to build to give up terrains and interiors.
