However, this is just stupid. Terrains and interiors were originally introduced to help populate a game with a relatively low brick count. When Retail was released, the features were transfered over because he had no reason not to add them. Since that time however, Badspot has complained about different issues concerning these features that bar him from implementing new features, which in itself is enough of a reason to remove them. While it is sad we will be losing a fairly large chuck of our modding community due to this update, mapping was never a promised feature of the game. Blockland is the game where you build things using it's brick system. And he has decided that improved graphics will benefit the promised features. |

He should know that since he was the one that allowed us to create maps, he would have a problem like this when he tried to remove them. He should have known that all of the modders would raise hell. And just think, he's completely getting of all of the user-made maps, just for some shadows and shaders. What would you rather have, pretty little shadows or all of the user-made maps. Enjoy riding a jeep on a blank slate. |

I highly doubt that most of you have put years into developing great RPGs that rely on terrain and interiors. And now v21 will take our hard work an basically destroy it. You must understand, it takes years to develop these mods. We have spent days on end reforming our code and scripting these RPGs. The feeling that all of your hard work for the past few years will go down the drain is just horrific. --- End quote --- If your RPG relies on terrain then you should take a serious moment to realize that your code is terrible. If it can't support built terrain, then you should down right redo it. I'd also like to point out just because you spent "years" working on your "RPG" doesn't mean that the game shouldn't progress. And the fact that your now complaining about mods that rely on things made in 2002 is sad. Get up to date guys, if you want your RPGs to be good, learn how to make your bots loving jump over terrain bumps. Maybe take a few weeks to make AI's not loving handicapped. |

Hes not giving up interiors/terrains just for shadows/shaders. He specifically said that interior/terrains complicate code, and removing it will allow them to push out more features/better fixes. If you be a ignorant prick about this we will just ignore you. At least read before you post. |

And that video in the OP is a joke, this isn't the end of the whole damn game. This whole thing has been blown out of proportion. |
