Cannot join server -- Authenticating to master server?

I simply cannot join a server because I have not connected to the master server.
After entering my key, the authentication goes on forever. Please help!

I would appreciate if someone would at least acknowledge the fact that I'm in dire need, here. :c

It's your internet. No other explanation.

Bullstuff.
When I re-install BL it always fixes it. But whenever I exit out of BL, and try to play again. It goes back to the same stuff.
I don't want to have to install BL every time I want to play it.
