Unknown hosting issues with Macintoshes

If I'm correct, auth check is when the game checks your key? If that's the case, a simple reinstall and re-entering of the key might fix it. I know this is something simple, but sometimes simple things work but nobody tries them. Sorry if I did not help.

I already reinstalled. I reinstalled yesterday about 10 minutes before I posted this topic.

Turns out the problem was very bad internet. If you host with even a few players it can crash because of low bandwidth.

Also, if I were to connect my laptop to my router with an ethernet cord instead of using wifi would that make it better or do I need a new router/modem entirely?
