My hope is that one day the map editor for Blockland will look like this: http://media.steampowered.com/apps/portal2/media/map_editor_01.jpg In fact, it would be possible right now for someone in the community to write an editor that worked like this then exported Blockland save files, so it would not even need to be an official tool. |

With this idea, I think it would be cool for there to be some editor so we could have bricks and set pieces separated easily, as I don't think some people would like the idea of non-lego bricks meant for making environments able to be used for general building. Also, if we don't want to make set piece bricks, it would be really cool to get a "mini blb" format, or somewhere to save to that could be used to easily duplicate certain pieces, like crates and barrels. You could load them as you would choose a brick in the brick menu, and you would be able to see the entire piece when placing, unlike how the duplicator or macros work. |
