Retail sucks. I challenge you to build the antenna cradle in retail.

I bring you the Blockland: Source homepage courtesy of the wayback machine.

Also, here is a link to what was their forums: http://web.archive.org/web/20080501093230/http://blocklandcentral.com/forums/

Note the announcement: Okay, we are back online after the server maintenace! Anyway, we have picked 5 people to become the new admins! Congrats to: Darkomni, ProBuilder, Captain Ahab, Destiny and Lt Chub Chub. You all have been selected as the new admins for Blockland Central. There will be an email sent out explaining to all of the users what will be happening through this time period.

Captain Ahab was my alt account on their forums. Yes, they offered me an admin position! It was funny because I actually did very little to earn it. I think I said something defending Blockland on their forums, the site owner sent me a rude pm telling me I was a dumbass, I responded politely and he was like "oh, this guy would be an awesome admin." Because apparently that's how rational people behave - give away site control to polite people.

I declined it at the time but now I regret not accepting it and doing something really dumb.

I've forgotten, are these the same guys that did TBM/sprung off of TBM?

how the...

is that really blockland at all???

v21 is going to barely change how Blockland plays temporarily and I can't handle it. Let's childishly rebel against the regular Badspot and Kompressor and make our own shameless rip-off.

In its current stage of development (two semi-completed scripts), there is nothing interesting about BL:S. It is just a boring Half-Life 2 Source Mod in the making. But if it's ever actually finished nobody will really even notice. It will use many different technologies already introduced to gaming before to make the gamers dream game. I will try to understand how to use impractical features such as CPU-expensive dynamic water mechanics, typical dynamic weather, "huge" environments detailed at minifig scale, and the ability to spam thousands or even millions of bricks with heaps of lag as expected. How can this be you ask? Simple. The one person working on BL:S did not think on the time-tested, experienced level of today's videogame industry. When you add the element of impossibility to the equation, predictable things can occur. We are not going to release our non-existent secrets and plans yet- actually, we will never. Keep pretending to be interested in us to see how we're failing, and we might slip a little bit of "pretentious douchebaggery" to you.

(^ Super incredible fantastic gameplay screenshot to demonstrate the awesome might of this game)
