I mean, America is in reality a rather barren place, particularly the center of the country. And even if it's on the coast, cities are still some distance apart. It's hardly a small place. Would it be stuck in a single town or would it be over different areas? In which case I would hope that there is a bit of horse-riding action as in Assassin's Creed I and II, but I don't want to find myself playing a western game where I travel large expanses by horseback. I'm not interested in Red Dead Redemption with hidden blades. It seems like a very unusual turn for Ubisoft to take with this. They're most definitely taking a large jump out of their comfort zone and I can only hope it pays off. I would really really hate to see a great series ruined by one poor choice in one game. If that happens I would've preferred to just end the game with Ezio. I also hope that the combat doesn't change much, which I fear it just might with all the guns which are obviously going to be around. And I don't want it to be, as it appears to in the art so far, army-warfare. I know it's concept and promotional art, but I want the game to be Assassin's Creed. An Assassin as a soldier isn't really a proper Assassin. And of course, I wouldn't want my character to be completely tied up in whatever political events are happening. Sure for the beginning I suppose, as in ACII, but the guy has to be part of the Creed. Mind you, I can easily see them writing the Templars into the Confederates. What better for Templars to be than slavers? |
