What it is?

Quote from: Nightcore Wiki
Nightcore was a happy hardcore band from Alta, Norway. Their tracks usually sound like sped up dance music. It started as a school project using Dance eJay, the two members moved on to more professional programs to appel to a bigger audience. Throughout their career, the two produced four albums. Since they retired, fans have used this technique to make songs that are referred to as Happy Hardcore. Mostly they are played in night clubs and have many songs with sad, happy, confusing, and just plain funny messages.

I thought nightcore is a subgenre of trance. Not a band.< Nightcore Is a subgenre of trance that sprung out of the band "Nightcore" that is described above.
