I got a ride along when I was 12 because I was "lost" not really lost, just too lazy to walk home.Or you can break the law and that can be any age.But in all seriousness, as far as my state (Minnesota) goes, you have to be active in the police academy in order to have any official ride-alongs as civilians are at too great a risk if something serious goes down. The liability is simply far too great.Stay in school and don't do drugs/alcohol. Officer Rughugger says so. (not official title but we can pretend for the fun of it)
