for all those who keep thinking "its just another pc" no its not. its a console that plays PC games. there is quite a bit of difference.

This would destroy the PS and the Xbox and their future consoles.
just like steam has already floored gamestop and other game stores.

the future of gaming is not in loving hardcopy items or retail stores.
nor is it in specialized systems with specific bios.

publishers and developers will greatly favor this as they can reach the larger market by simply making PC games and not stufft'ily porting up or downward.

This. I think it's safe to say that Valve makes enough money to sell their consoles at a loss.

However I'm not sure how easily they will be able to make it run native Windows applications without actually running Windows. Doing so would probably require reverse engineering Windows code and I don't think Microsoft would be happy about that and take legal action. That's I think it's more likely that it would be ran on a Linux based kernel.
