Author Topic: Steambox BREAKING! Steambox likely destroyed by the massive girth of Gabe's body  (Read 6719 times)

All the arguments against console gaming, I wouldn't throw my money at them when the main players are already tearing at my limbs.

We're told that the basic specs of the Steam Box include a Core i7 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GPU.
WANT.

"Well, if we have to sell hardware we will."

"if"

Valve gets too much money from Keys, why would they need to get into the console business?

"and the first title for the Steam Box will be the long awaited Half Life 2- Episode 3!"

in that case I'll probably have time for my retirement

It seems practical to combine the online store of Steam with a console. Welp, I'm a computer friend though, so I don't really care too much.

I have no problem with this as long as there won't be Steambox-exclusive games.
It would split the steam community in half if that ever happened.

Obviously they wouldn't be able to develop everything cross-platform, and that's something that will break this stuff.

I'm pretty sure some games will get optimized for the steambox.

$20 says that this console will be released before HL3, just another delay...

HL2 Episode 3 will be a launch title

Dammit, already said

I wouldn't mind another console competitor. Seeing what Valve would do could be interesting, I'm sure they'd find a way to implement Steam with it as well.

I would probably buy this, especially if they did what they did with Portal 2 and the PS3, where if you bought it for either the console or PC, you would get both versions
obviously that would mean games being downloaded for this console, instead of on a disc

any singleplayer games could have the saves on both using the cloud thing they have
