How do you prove that a steam game was purchased and not gifted

So far all I have is that Portal 2 isn't in my gifted games subsection.

It shows if it was a gift, complimentary, bought on steam store, or retail.

i was also gifted TF2 but it's in my "games i play a lot" section due to not being able to have games in more than one section.
