Diablo 2 is an oldie but goodie and can probably run fine on a netbook.

Quake 1, 2 and 3 (Get a source port)
Unreal
Unreal Tournament
Call of Duty 1 and United Offense
Deus Ex
X-COM: UFO Defense
SimCity 4

A few Rogue likes:
NetHack
DoomRL
IVAN
Brogue

And a few other classics that are usually a pain to get in working order on modern systems, But usually worth it (All of these but the Carmageddon's are on GoG.com FYI):

Morrowind and Terraria, really good low end games (and cheap to!) :D
