I'd rather risk crashing then go vanilla, having only default items really expands the limits imo.

He came to my server. Due to controversy I instantly perma banned him. Someone in my server said he was going to hack the server. An hour later it was still running along fine except for a crash, but I crash all the time anyway.

My servers have had nothing but absolute control.
I have events, items, lights, emitters, music, vehicles and brick properties disabled for non-admins. I haven't had a single person try to crash my server since.

Mine's had no problems, like I said above. When it crashes I just start it back up, usually lose half of the players, but I can get them back quickly.
