I need some help with Steam for the future

I ordered Sonic Generations off Amazon a few hours ago, and now I'm not sure if I can still have it as an official Steam game (not have to add a non steam game).
Can I still register the game so it isn't non-steam?
It's PC of course

There is a list of games here of games you can activate on steam.

Sorry but Sonic Generations is not one of them.
