Author Topic: funkyshirt - Releasing a fail binned mod  (Read 3915 times)

Pfft

This guy is a complete moron.

I love how it was failed, then 20 minutes after it was failed, creates a second topic saying "Get it quick while you can guys!"

or something like that.

He doesn't realize moderators aren't idiots.

I bet he's also gonna ignore everyone on RTB as well.

Noedit: Thank god it got failed again.

I saw Badspot logged in, so, my guess is that funkyshirt will not be posting the add-on again anytime soon.

How about a mod disabling all avatar changes that don't require the GUI.
You don't know how things work.

This is not possible. You clearly do not understand how Blockland works.

Server-sided mods CANNOT tell what a client is doing beyond what the client tells them.

As it so happens, this includes avatar changes. There is only one way to change your avatar, so all avatar-changing mods, by necessity, will use this one way. This also happens to be the same way that the Avatar GUI uses to change the avatar.

If the function on the server exists to change appearance, and has a check to see if they did it through GUI or not, the client could easily just say through script that they used the GUI.

The server also has absolutely no way to check the names of the add-ons the client has.

I DL-ed the mod when he put it up anyway, mostly to make more and better 'antifunky' things.
After all, knowing is half the battle.

On-topic:
I showed my pal 'El Tigre' randall what this idiot did and we both had a good laugh at how doomed that idiot was. I saw the last topic he made, but it's not even there anymore. Not moved, just... deleted.

I hate it when people are on my server with funkyshirt.

Oh god.
Anyone else notice he changed his sig so people can still download?
