It kind of makes sense for him to post it outside of the topic, I mean if I found a really cool drawing that had a small reference to MLP I would still probably have posted it in the drawings megathread.

Thats different. The fact that you are posting it in the megathread is thing we are getting at. Drawing> Drawing megathread, pony music> MLP megathread. Its only logical.
