In every server we join we see a familiar face. If the community were to get to large, There would always be some new person in a server than you wouldn't really want to get to know, cause you know you might not ever see them again.

I'm not sure how this is a problem. You could always add them on RTB.

--- Quote from: Dr.shoe... on March 25, 2012, 09:14:16 AM ---There are some reasons to like a small community. And some reasons to want a larger one. For both of them, there isn't really a selfish reason on either side. People who want smaller communities Prefer the ability to know each other and see their friends on a different server upon joining. and we all know we do not want to be labeled as "just another ID".

--- End quote ---
This part right here makes it seem like a selfish reason itself. "We don't want to be seen differently" is a pretty bad reason to not want the game to be more successful.

Nymethus:

on the large community thing, I say that if we have more people then maybe some of them will get off their asses and make add-ons we ask for instead of going "nah I'm lazy" when we ask for a proper lantern item or a brick that's commonplace when it comes to LEGO.

--- Quote from: Bisjac on March 25, 2012, 11:31:09 AM ---how Lego sets have been designed very lazy with new large odd bricks to replace the 10 classic that could have been used, or stickers... all to save money on production and ruin the Lego aesthetic.
Lego isn't about building things with bricks anymore, they have become a model to assemble. and every set has at least 1 unique forgeted up brick that simply exists to save production costs.

i say Legos pre-2000 are where its at.

I get that, but what the fudge does it refer to when it comes to marketing Blockland? Does it mean banishing add-ons? Do we build classic LEGO builds?

Bisjac:

i  think he meant just to compare our game to oldschool lego. as lego alienated a lot of hardcore lovers with the new bullstuff.

Again, what does this actually mean? What do?
