Has anyone seen that video on youtube when New York or whatever turns into a giant pixelized video game? We could do something like that with Blockland but I cant imagine the cost. |

Well, I think the only way we can get a decent membership increase is to lure them in and get them to stick. Hopfully, with the "Shadows and Shaders" update, we can have something to show off to the internet to appeal to the asthetically inclined. All in all, we simply need to focus on simple but cheap / free advertising. Youtube videos are good and all (which you should apply as many possible but VALID keywords as possible), simple threads in forums that have some form of focus on games are another possibility. I've already mentioned this, we could use "missionaries" for Blockland. Convert the non-belivers! |

Minecraft has one, I'd imagine Blockland could get some decent exposure. Even if it doesn't reel in a large amount of people, every little bit helps. --- End quote --- great idea someone should do it. |

--- Quote from: Lord Tony² on March 23, 2012, 10:26:25 PM ---What if someone makes a stop-motion animation of a blocko minifig building in a real world environment? Maybe he could find trouble with some lego minifigs. Someone needs to make a real high quality blocko minifig though. --- End quote --- I had a neat idea once that a Blockhead stumbles apon a portal to the real world (or a lego stumbles apon a portal to Blockland) and they jump in and play around in the other world. Now that I think of it, A lego stumbling apon a portal to Blockland would make a much better ad for Blockland. It'd really send the message "It's like legos on the internet" since the legos are literally jumping into an internet world known as Blockland. I am strongly considering doing this, once Shaders are out I will most likely start production. |
