Author Topic: Why does no one use the creeper gamemode anymore?  (Read 4143 times)

Well, to be honest, I think the dark version of the map would give a better matching "creepy feeling". The feeling of being stranded in a dark interior with no sign of life probably gives the best creepy feeling for a creeper gamemode.
i agree

You forgot to mention creepy cereal boxes staring back at you.

jesus, tony, that map scarred me for life.

shame on you and your cereal boxes!

nah, i kid. you should host one on your evil castle, but remove all the things you use to get up and down the castle from the ground so the fall is death! that would be really awesome!

who wants me to host a 24/7 creeper server? (if i can figure it out.)

It was fun. Perhaps if someone was to apply the creeper mod with some type of creative setting or alternate gamemode, or whatever, it could spark some attention. Not needed since me and a lot of other people would just like a creeper server period, but it would still be a nice idea.

Also, Tony, where in the haba-balu did you get the pictures for that creeper map? It's bugged me since! Bah

I always find the Creeper game mode to be laggy.

Then again I did just set it on Insane on everything and let it find me in GSF New York....
Why not do that? Make a Minigame where its in a GSF map and all there is are Cars. Heli's and planes will suck for it (they'll escape the map). and you just drive around looking for it.

Slow, Laggy, Unreliable, and absurdly difficult.

I love this mod.

Takes forever to kill one brick of the creeper and it expands stupidly slow.

Those features ruin the add-on for me.

You never found the settings then? Most of my games I ever made on singleplayer consisted of me running for my life followed by a trail of red goo, whilst picking off creep at lightspeed.

I always found it funny how something in the mod makes the brickcount decrease below 0.

I did. Still too slow. At least back when it was first released. I don't know if it has been updated.

Change the AI settings. Laserguided will kill you.

I love servers that have fun settings. Creeper isn't fun nor threatening when the players can easily hold it back by spamming its spawn with Creepkill for half an hour. Small maps, dangerous creeper, lots of adrenaline is what's fun imo.

I had some creeper weapons too such as a creep-kill shotgun and rpg.
