I think South Park can be good again but they definitely need to change a few things first.
First thing thats most notable is that the animation is TOO GOOD. That was one of the big comedic points of the show thats now gone. I mean look at that screen shot, even the grass is shaded.
Second they really need to get back to basics when it comes to writing. Stop making so many obvious and only here-and-now relevant pop culture references. If you're going to make an episode that reference pop culture integrate it into the plot, don't make the plot revolve around it.
