Let's all tell each other what we love or hate to see in a Blockland DM.

what is fun
dorkdotdan:
I forget who this belonged to, but there was a really nice trench TDM around a while ago that was extremely balanced and fun. I spent hours playing there and it was near always populated.

Oh, It also was Capture the Flag.

What I hate to see:

-   Unreasonable weapons that result in everyone using the most powerful one available (which often ends up being a sniper) making close range combat horribly handicapped

- If a TDM, when teams fail to co-operate and everyone is blocking exits to the spawn rooms, jumping over each other to select weapons, and fighting for themselves failing to support or look out for team mates, sometimes even getting in their way or doing something that makes the other guy die (this happens a lot in capture the flag)

- stuff tiny maps that are overcrowded with stupid player limits

- Admins that don't mind fetching, finding, and screwing with drop camera

- Horrible potholes (in dirt trench DMs) that make you fall and get stuck, and ultimately trap you until you get shot from above

- People who are ungraceful, especially with stupid kills (like spawn kills) and think they are pr0s

- People who think they are superior killers and are patronizing if you fail to kill them, or who consider tactical moves as "luck"

... think thats all.  :cookieMonster:
Nobot:
I hate* a DM where you get jets and every default weapon.

Basically pressing start mini game on slate.

Edit: wow fail typo
lilpappaknox:
- People not using good tactics, and instead just going kamikaze

- Hosts putting sniper rifles in tiny maps where you don't need them

- People who play the most powerful class and going kamikaze and there's a ten second respawn time and I'm the only one who is an assault class and all of them dead

- And that's about it
