he has to tnt the chests, and he also risks loosing items in the blast. IMO you shouldn't have a 100% chance to get someone's stuff just because they couldn't build an entire room out of obsidian.

If you claim your stuff properly and know what you're doing you can keep your stuff safe/hidden/otherwise.
Plus if he's actually able to reach your chests with TNT you're doing something wrong anyway.
