F2P vs P2P

I prefer F2P because i think P2P games are a money pit.
You throw money in it constantly to keep playing one single game.

I rather take less content for free and play other games too.
A one time payment game is where it's at.

DLC's are getting a bit too much lately though.
Especially when you hear things like on-disc DLC...

One Time Payment Games: Good and Bad
Well one time payment games usually help keep the unwanted cheaters and griefers away, but in time the game will decline in a players. Now if you made game balancing breaking dlc's you gain profit and a potentially more players which makes the your game have a longer shelf life.

Free To play: Good and Bad
The good thing is its free to download and unistall. The bad is that anybody can play even those who spend their time looking for the best aimbots, wallhacks, and stathacks, ect. Most of these games give you the impression that they are free, but you only get some of the content. The rest you must pay for, same with the good gear(unless you can kill the rich people with the free stuff). Most of these games are made just for profit and to get as much money out of anyone who is dumb enough to get sucked in, so there is no point in downloading most of these. So in the short run without paying for anything free, in the long run if you want the full game. It will cost you.

Pay to Play: Good and Bad
These games are a mixed basket. Many use a subscription payment to gain profit. Like the free to play model you fall victim to the all mighty item shop. Sometimes the gameplay is good, but in most cases you are just burning money. Remember to be careful with these.

Now with the information presented I would say the best one is the one time payment game(retail).

I would just like to say that you have no idea what you're talking about

I prefer games that just have one payment up front. (excluding sequels or expansions)

When you look at how much money you spend on a game per year it's just rediculous...
If you play a game with a 15 dollar monthly fee for a year, you spend 180 dollars...  Two years you spend 360.

Play two different games with the same fee?  Double it.  360, 720..  It's just too much money.  I spose if you have a lot of money and have nothing better to spend it on, but there's just so much more you could get for that much money.

But I don't really play games often enough, and most games that require a monthly fee (MMOs) don't interest me at all.  Most of the games I enjoy just have a 1 time payment.
