Where can I find a nice Modeling program? + Other questions.

Sabbin:

Okay, so I have a few questions. For some reason I'm interested in learning how to model.

What are some good modeling programs?

How hard is it to learn how to model? (No scripting or coding, just modeling.)

Are there any FREE modeling programs?

Incinerate:

Modeling is kinda hard to learn, but anyone I believe can learn to do it well.
Blender is free, probably the best choice for you.
Good luck!

Sabbin:

Can you/anyone give me some information on modeling? Like how it is like, or just info in general.

blockbuilder1:

I use sketch up (non-pro) and it easy to start with but you will find some stuff hard, also you need to also export it into blender to do the exporting to .dts
blender and sketch up are free

Watch all the video tutorials. Helped me a ton. I remember when starting out I just mindlessly copied everything they did on the video and learned the interface that way. You most certainly want to use Blender 2.61 for modeling. Blender 2.49b should be use for exporting only.
