There's not really anything on how it was built, Unless if i'm forgetting a mention in one of the books, But just assume a ton of humans needed a safe place to go after guild wars 1. |

so they carved out a castle from A MOUNTAIN. I don't see any other possibilites. The problem with the city is that it's on the walls. Sure there's like 40 buildings down below as well but most of it is ON THE SODDING WALLS Nothing in that city makes any sense anywhere. |
