I read no such thing in the link provided above

Yet despite this complex debate, noted gender equality expert Wisconsin State Senator Glenn Grothman says the root of pay inequity is quite simple: Women don’t care about making money. Of course! It was staring us in the face!

And your point of bolding his name was...?
Just because senator WEALTHY WHITE MALE says that women don't care about making money doesn't make it true in the least.

Wel-
Just because senator WEALTHY WHITE MALE says that women don't care about making money doesn't make it true in the least.

yeah that

Just because senator WEALTHY WHITE MALE says that women don't care about making money doesn't make it true in the least.
Oh, really? Just because you say he's a wealthy white male doesn't mean he might be what you're describing him as.

a study has shown (the article) that men earn more because they work harder and want it more. not because we are unfair to woman.
and the equal pay laws are hurting hard working men.
and that is what is being fixed and removed.

i dont see a problem here.

also OP you are stupid. laws to force businesses to pay woman more just for the sake of being woman has nothing to do with the constitution.

Oh, really? Just because you say he's a wealthy white male doesn't mean he might be what you're describing him as.

Aaaand you're dodging the point

but still, here's the senator in question:

Private companies should be allowed to treat customers and employees how they like, only the government should have to treat everyone equally.

If you work for Acme Co. and you don't think you're being treated equally, it's that companies loss because now you're probably going to work for someone else who would treat you fairly.

You don't need a law for this stuff.
Stop talking. Just stop talking.

Every time there's even a semi-political conversation going on, you come in and spout stuff that you barely even understand. You are 13. You have never had a job. You have no loving idea or perspective on how hard it is to just, "get a new job".

All you're doing is repeating the same stuff you probably hear your parents say.

It more than likely does mean that. I'm not saying he's entirely wrong but jesus christ you have a bit of a problem if you take his word on what women want for granted.

I'm not repeating things my parents say. I am making an intelligent post using logic that I have researched on my own time. If you don't want a free market go stand in the toilet paper line.

You're stupid.

Forcing people to not discriminate based on gender isn't getting rid of a free market. stuff like this is essential to make sure people don't loving abuse the forget out of low-income workers. If you're so well researched, go research the kind of stuff that happened before labor unions.

Labor Unions are essential to for a 3rd world country to become a first world country via industrialization, but now they are just bloated wastes of money. They don't reward productivity and they export stuffty products. Now we are a first world country and we have no need for Unions. Also, forcing equality only screws the aforementioned low income worker.

How so?

How so?
You're theory is well intended, but easily abusable. The current american legal system works in a flawed way, so that the loser of a court case does not have to pay the legal expenses of the winner. keep this in mind. Say I am an employer, and you are a female looking for a job. If I employed you and paid you less based on work, you might sue under this equality law, saying that I was being discriminative of your gender. This may not be fact, but you have sued me. You will probably lose, but under this system I still owe my lawyer for defending a pointless case. Now, I am drowned in legal expenses and might have to close down. That is the fear of employers under this law. They call people like this "Lawsuit Bombs" because of this. Not every single female is like this, no sir, but the ones who are like this scare everyone else out of hiring all of them.

And now more females would be out of work.
Replace "Female" with anything you please.
