developing solar energy will bring more long term benefits than wind ever will. solar is less location dependant than wind.
Exactly why Australia should continue work on projects like these:
But in the case of places with high frequency of large amounts of wind, but less sunshine, let them use wind farms to power locally, if not also feeding that power into the grid.
Like I said a few posts up, Arizona is a great place for solar panels. Several homes and businesses in my town have them, and if my family had the money, we'd plop some up there too. However, I'm proud to say that at least some of the time, my stuff is powered by this fine facility here:
