I'm currently at university right now, when I get home I'll talk with Lugnut and try to get a dedicated minigame working.
If I can't get a dedicated minigame running, I'll still start up the roleplay anyway and we can all play c:
Also when I get back, I'll make a template for a character list. It will probably be name, age and a brief description of your character.

Will a character sheet be required to play, or voluntary?

No doubt it is voluntary. It's just to add some more depth to your character, expand the story a bit. I generally think it's a good idea, mainly because I like to write.
