How to make a map?

I keep reading to how to make a map but none makes any scence mean its all AHHHHHHH in my head and AHHHHHHHH some more.....so how do i make a map....

I wouldn't make any terrain maps if I were you. I would make a Slate edit. We will be needing lots of Slate edits soon.

If you want to make a terrain map (with mountains etc.) you can forget that. The next update will destroy all terrain and interiors.

Not exactly. I imagine someone, somewhere will port maps over to a different game or even to the Torque3D SDK.
