So how 'bout that colorset, huh?  Boy, we sure are talking about the colorset in this thread, aren't we?

looks good but I'll stick with edits of Truenos

you really need some better greens in there for grass/tree leaf variation

Personally, I have serious problems with Trueno's colorset, the two biggest being:
  • The first column shouldn't even exist.  Maybe one of the colors in this column is aesthetically-appealing, the others are ugly and neon as forget.
  • The colorset lacks decent, good-looking brown townogues of many default colors.

The only reason I use Truenos is because a lot of other servers use it, if I save or load builds from other servers I want them to stay the color they were

i agree with first one, though I do use neon colors for some nightclub TRON themes

second one doesnt matter as default colors suck anyways, excluding the softs

default colors suck anyways

Which is why you don't exactly include them, but rather colors that look a bit nicer while still being similar.

Bump.  I hope I haven't come off as too abrasive ITT...

true.
someone needs to release some sort of perfect colorset already. there's always something wrong with them:
-not enough greens
-not enough grays
-not enough browns
-not enough blues
-not enough transparent colors

these have always been the major problems in colorsets.

Yeah, but he has bad browns.

Is there a limit for the amount of colors/columns/rows in a colorset?

I would want...
>Trueno's brown scale
>Trueno's grey scale
>Trueno's regular colors (red to purple) (a little darker)
>Trueno's darker colors (red to purple)
>2 columns for see-through colors (transparent and translucent) (including clear [not invisible] and a darker one)
>1 column for special colors (navy blue, sky blue, light red, pink, tan, light green, gold, blue-grey)
>(If possible) Another column for more special colors
>Then the other stuff (bright, flashing, chrome, undulo..etc)

Total of 9 columns. And if it is possible, who cares if it takes up the bottom left of your screen. As long as I can see what I am painting, I am fine with it. I would rather have a TON of choices for color and no bottom left corner when painting, than having not-so-many choices and you can see most of bottom left.

64 is the limit to how many colors you can have.

Taking various ITT into consideration, I may make a MONDO2.  All colors in the set currently would be kept, but a new misc column would be added, filling out the full 64 possible colors.  The only thing I will definitely NOT include is more grays.  Four plus black and white is all you ever really need.
