HAVE IN BACKGROUND FOR ADDED EFFECT
I glanced up at the man before me. I smiled a dark, dark smile. "So, let's dance," I whispered contemptfully. I raised one sword, whispering one more prayer to those who came before me, great warriors, brilliant strategists, some of the greatest minds the world has seen. My eyes glowed against the burning landscape. I put both swords down against the ground, the fire behind my eyes making me feel more hatred than I'd ever had. I charged, moving faster than I'd ever had before. I jumped above him, spinning in mid-air, not landing a single cut as he parried. He was sloppy, however, and I elbowed him into the wall. Five hundred meters away. Hard enough to crack it.
I prepared to charge again, augmenting my movement with magic. I was within striking distance in less than a second, I landed a solid cut, slicing through the leg tissue. I was about to strike again, but was caught off-gaurd and received a quick cut to the shoulder. I shrugged it off, punching him as hard as I could in the face. I heard a sharp crack, and felt his jaw give away. He wasn't unconscious, though. In fact, it didn't even look like he was affected by it. He got back up, and in my shock, kicked me in the chest, sending me flying against the far wall. I felt all air fly out of me faster than an F-16. I struggled to stand, and struggled to breath. I caught my breath after a few minutes, gasping. "H-how..." I wondered aloud. I leaned on one of my blades for a moment, it looked like he was taking his time. I quickly healed myself using magic, and went in for another strike.
This time, our blades collided in mid-air, resulting in a metallic clang that echoed through-out the stadium, or what was left of it. I twisted, kicking him the face with a metallic, and sharp, boot. It appeared to cut into his cheek, and completely unhinge his jaw. And still he kept going. I didn't know how. He cut me again, much deeper this time, managing to get though the armor. I cried out as his blade dug into my flesh, severing who-knew how many blood vessels. I swept one leg underneath him, knocking him to the ground, and I attempted to heal in the short time he was down. I didn't heal fast enough, and I was sent flying again by a well-placed kick. My armor ground against the floor as I slid along, pain erupted through my body during the jagged ride.
I stood once again, and was met with pain from all parts of my body. I coughed, tasting the metallic tang of blood in my mouth. He was charging, and fast. I swept neath him, sending him right into the ground again. I prepared to deliver the final blow, but was thrown into the wall. He was agile, I'll give him that. More blood flooded into my mouth upon impact. I quickly healed, not enough to completely eliminate the pain, but enough to keep the blood from pouring like I had released the floodgates. He came again, and this time, forced me up against the wall, his hand around my throat. The seconds ticked by like hours, and I could feel his grip tightening around my neck. He seemed like he could break it at any moment. I nearly lost consciousness, but I finally used the hand that wasn't clutching his wrist and stab him in the chest.
He howled, warm blood spilling onto my armor. I reached for my throat, gasping for breath. I had to end this, and I had to end it quickly. I doled out a series of quick and shallow cuts, weakening him further and further, until he collapsed to the ground bleeding. "Goodbye, Abel," I said, before climbing on top of him and driving my blade deep into his chest. He howled, a sound that made me regret stabbing him. The blood bubbled around the wound, more and more collecting in a puddle beneath us, until finally his death throes stopped, and his heart- well, whatever it was that heartlesses use to pump blood- stopped beating.
I got up, slowly staggering to vege where he had made it to safety. Blood caked around my armor, the stains of murder covering my heart. I collapsed into his open arms, buried my face into his shoulder, and a single tear rolled across my cheek. It was over. It was finally over...
