Yeah that's pretty much high up there in the large mistakes of DayZ.
Without the ammo glitch the FN FAL and Bizon are completely useless.

Which is why I always reload after every kill so all of my mags have equal ammo count, and so I can just reload the server and have full ammo.

Yep, pretty much what I've been doing since my like 2nd day of DayZ. Without the ammo glitch DayZ would be a bitch. Certain guns are super impossible to find ammo for. Considering certain stupidity of this mod. Like the fact that a tire takes 6 spaces yet a primary takes 10.
