And is there melee yet?

If you don't like it, uninstall it and just play regular arma.

It's not about losing the game.
It's about how this mod justifies being a richard to others simply because it's "PVP" in a Zombie apocalypse where you have to kill loving everyone you meet in order to actually do something.
The survival part gets utterly boring and zombies are very dumb so you can mostly only have fun looting stuff and shooting people.

Funny because the time I uninstalled the mod I didn't die before and yes I like Minecraft.
You seriously don't have to loving insult me for no reason as well.

I don't think people would run around with sniper rifles , killing everyone they see just for fun in a Zombie Apocalypse.

I know but these are actually still  cooperative.
In Warfare you are on preset teams and you could all go on one team and kill the AI.
I rarely see deathmatch servers in the serverlists. I don't think they are very popular.

In dayZ however there are no preset teams. You can mostly only team up with friends which spawn miles away from you , giving PKers enough chances to ambush you.
I found the mod enjoyable at first but then I realized how annoying it is.

Also, looking at the robbery video in the OP, the guy got shot like several times up close with an effing revolver. Not very realistic if your assailants don't die.

People who cry about how the mod should stick to survival. Complain about bandits killing people.

That's a harsh generalization and an incorrect one at that.

I like combat because combat makes things interesting. The playerbase that is staying with DayZ even though the developer has deprived new players of weapons as of the newest update, is the one that appreciates the thrill of crawling past zombies that could kill you at any moment. Unfortunately, I'm not one of those people because I find it difficult for me to immerse myself when I know that whether I get killed or not doesn't matter because I'll respawn with the same stuff I had originally.

The game automatically becomes much more thrilling when you start collecting things like weapons and ammo that you don't want to lose, so you naturally become more frightened of dying. But even that doesn't make up for the fact you have to run around A LOT and crawl between houses for up to two hours before you even find a weapon. The only quicker alternative is to try and enter one of the two cities, Chernogorsk and Elektro, which are infested with zombies and hostile players and chances are you won't make it out alive if the server is populous. The fact the developer removed the bandit skin has made the whole issue with too much hostile pvp even worse because there's no incentive for players to let other players live after robbing them.

I'd recommend buying the ARMA II: CO pack because it's a good game, but DayZ isn't fun for people who can't properly immerse themselves into their avatar's situation.

It helps to play with the lights off too.

Playlist of my favorite story to have come out of this game. I find it amazing how the guy recording isn't the perfect survivor, but everyone around him always dies, but he is the one to survive. Still waiting for the next part; there are huge gaps between each video.

This is amazing. I didn't know there was local voice chat which moves the model's lips. This is so good for immersion.
