Yesterday, I was in the media center printing an essay that I couldn't print at home, and when I sent it to the printer, the printer began to beep, like it was out of paper. Since there was a substitute librarian, she had no idea what I was doing, and walked right over, and tugged on my ear. She asked me what I was doing, and I told her I was printing an essay. After I told her this, her eyes narrowed as if I was lying or some stuff. When I went to show her, she noticed I was using Microsoft Word instead of Appleworks. When she asked me why, I said because I found Appleworks to be an older piece of software and that Word was much more user friendly.
She responded with, "Well, at the school I work at, we don't let students use anything other than what's on the computer, so you're getting a detention."
"You don't work at this school though, those same rules don't apply because you come from your school to mine. Plus, Microsoft Word does come with the computer."
I was given another detention for subordination.
