You still might have gotten a little less grain by using a lower ISO (unless 200 is your native ISO). But yeah it's mostly your camera's fault. I'm still surprised because your camera seems really nice for a point and shoot.
In my defence, the photo was taken at 2AM with only a lamp a meter away as a light source. I forgot I had my ISO on 200. Had I known this, I would've put it down to 80 and turned on the room's light.
But yeah, it's my second camera. I tried to get something that shoots RAW, has a decent sized sensor and a manual mode. So I manage to make up for a lot of the problems with RawTherapee, which has some noise removal stuff and other neat tools. You already know the camera, but it's a
WB2000 for anybody interested.
I don't know where to go from here once I decide enough is enough from current one. There are DSLRs and mirrorless cameras.
