i loving hate how every game nowadays is only network co-op and you can't sit down and play with a friend anymore. this is a prime example
I think it has to do with the cutscenes and how the gameplay works out. It would stupid hard to play this game split-screen. It also adds some atmosphere. IMO network co-op is easier and more fun, so people aren't screen hogging/cheating (in terms of multiplayer) and details can be found easier and faster.
uh, i didn't play 2, but thats all dead space 1 was too...
game looks cool anyways, and it has coop so that's a plus.
But it's not just jump scares. Especially DS1. Atmosphere and time crunches were an immense key part in the horror. But the same cant be said for DS3, but I've already explained why, and how it isn't that bad of a change.
