Nope. I have bad luck with mods. Mostly because some of them have corrupted some of the games basic files. When I unistalled DayZ many of the campaign missions said I was missing the dayz weapons files. So I had to reinstall it just to play something that didn't use the mod. So anyway I'll play a mod, as long as my friends are going to play it and that it's stable.

ACE is a very interesting mod as it boosts the realism part of Arma 2 whilst still being great fun to play.
The main aspect of it however is the addition of more content like vehicle and weapons.
As far as I can tell it still has some parts that have no use yet but here is a list of ACE's features (not including additional content like weapons and vehicles) .
It's a total conversation mod so it's a rather big download but this mod is worth it.

So far I've encountered no problems between any mods and Arma 2.

I can't get the USS Khe Sanh to spawn. The Destroyers float on the bottom on the ocean. By the way USS Khe Sanh actually belongs to a smaller class of ship called the Amphibious Assault Ship.

All it is fifteen missions, two new maps that have many buildings that you can't enter like chernarus, a new faction and more guns. I think you can wait.

Funny because my CD german retail version of Arma 2 works perfectly with my steam Operation Arrowhead game.
