| Flamecannon:
i call it top-down still but when i'm referring its specific angle i'd normally use words like 45 degree camera angle action |

--- Quote from: .:FancyPants:. on February 10, 2014, 06:59:06 PM ---speaking of this, i'd like to ask if anyone has heard "3/4 top-down" as an actual term; a platformer is a camera at the same angle as the ground, a top-down is usually looking straight down at the ground, but i've been looking for something that describes when the camera's angle is between a platformer and a top-down, and a friend of mine said that a 3/4 top-down is usually that, but googling it results in very few results, so i'm not if there's a better word for it. examples: --- End quote --- yes all the time i refer to it as the zelda angle sometimes. its too prominent to go nameless also platformers are usually just called sidescrollers |
