i dunno
i think most people just call it "top-down" or "overhead"
3/4 top-down makes sense though because of three-quarters view portraits
Flamecannon:
i call it top-down still but when i'm referring its specific angle i'd normally use words like 45 degree camera angle action

a platformer is a camera at the same angle as the ground,
a top-down is usually looking straight down at the ground,
but i've been looking for something that describes when the camera's angle is between a platformer and a top-down, and a friend of mine said that a 3/4 top-down is usually that, but googling it results in very few results, so i'm not if there's a better word for it.

yes all the time
i refer to it as the zelda angle sometimes. its too prominent to go nameless
also platformers are usually just called sidescrollers

I believe the proper term is sidescroller. It could be a 3D platformer (ex. Super Mario 64, Sonic Adventure 2)
