yeah okay personal opinion is aseprite is super clunky to work with
it's kind of shrinking and growing as it rotates isn't it, lol

here's a character temp.
things i've noted about good templates (for forum adventures and etc):
* Give head real-estate (more space on their face)
* Try to make editing a focused endeavour (design the template to have minimal editing required, ergo lower res, fewer limbs. Balance with detail/versatility)
* Poseability (make sure limbs and moving bits can be altered easily without losing style)I've probably missed it a bit on the last one, but i'm still pretty happy with results.
Of course, these are just what i've observed and prefer with this kind of stuff, you can still make appealing temps without these specific features - I'm not the authority on this subject.
