what i don't understand is why the background would matter in the first place

why do people print-screen the picture they made instead of just resizing and saving it? i don't understand why people seem to like doing this.

It sorta works off your principle of alternate dimensions and people; the menen in TR is pretty much the same as in MSMM except the red and purple are symbolic now and he is a total badass.
